Alvaro Castagnet is an inspirational and expressive watercolour painter who made his first DVD "Inspired Watercolour" two-years ago with APV films. Alvaro's strong and colourful style captures the soul and mood of the places he paints. In this film he paints the streets, squares and cafes of the historic town of Girona in Catalonia, northern Spain as well as in the coastal town of Cadaques, home town of Salvador Dali.

Alvaro's latest DVD with APV films is "The Passionate Painter in Antwerp." In this film he travels to Antwerp and selects a range of subjects which include street views, a café interior, inside the railway station and one of the oldest bars in Antwerp painted at night.

Alvaro's enormously successful book "Watercolour with Passion" is out of print. There are a few available copies at Amazon.com or abebooks.com but they are generally not available for less than $100 USD. Alvaro will be publishing a coffee table book of his paintings that will be available in 2010.
